Construction Management Plan

As part of the Construction Management Plan (CMP), we held a public consultation this summer on the implementation of a Temporary Traffic Order (TTO), that is necessary to deliver highways changes for the next phase of the project.

Following further discussions with Camden Council and the Construction Working Group, we have made some changes to the proposals, which have since been approved. You can find further information on the plans here (and see our previous proposals for the TTO here).

You can view our updated CMP here.

FAQs

1. When will construction works begin on the new development?

We hope to start construction works in the summer, although the timings depend on when our Construction Management Plan is approved by the London Borough of Camden.

2. What is the difference between the Demolition and Construction Management Plans?

Approved last year, our Demolition Management Plan outlined how we removed the existing buildings on the site in a safe and secure environment.

With these operations due to be finished shortly, we are progressing with the Construction Management Plan (CMP). This will provide guidance on the erection of the new development.

3. Have you now completed all demolition works on site?

While most demolition works have been completed, further operations will take place as and where required in the coming months, as the project team progress with the construction of the new building.

4. Who can I contact to speak about the project?

For general enquiries about the construction programme, get in touch with a member of the team by email: 247tottenhamcourtroad@londoncommunications.co.uk or calling our freephone line: 0800 307 7548

Should you have any questions about site specific operations, please contact Deconstruct’s Project Manager Pat Pearson (Email: Pat.Pearson@deconstructuk.com / Phone: 07900 788087) or Kier’s Senior Project Manager Steve Walford (Email: Steve.walford@kier.co.uk / Phone: 07790941817), both of whom are on site daily.

5. What impact has Covid-19 had on the construction programme?

Although social distancing guidelines have been lifted, we are committed to keeping our workforce and neighbours safe during this time. All our contractors are required to abide by Camden’s building and construction regulations. They are also registered with the Considerate Contractors Scheme, ensuring they give the utmost consideration to neighbours and the public when undertaking works on site.

6. How are you communicating the construction plans with local residents?

Regular meetings are held with the Construction Working Group, ensuring key representatives of the local community are kept informed about the progression of the construction programme.

Each month, a project update is also issued to CWG members with an overview of current and upcoming works. As and when works are required to take place outside of normal working hours, advanced notice of these operations is also shared with the community.
